was transferred ? A photo is worth a 1000 words, and you can check the quality
by comparing it with pictures of embryos which you can find in online atlases.
Thesecondis endometrialreceptivity, as measured
by its thicknessandtexture, which
is checked on the vaginal
ultrasound scan.
The thirdistheeaseoftheembryotransfer, which is usually doneunder
ultrasound guidance,
so you can see how easily the catheter entered the uterus.
These are the 3 tangible factors which
influence embryo implantation the 3 Es
Embryo quality;
Endometrialreceptivity;
andthe
Embryo transfertechnique.
However, thereisalso an additional fourthfactor, whichis also extremelyimportant- andthatisluck.
Nowthismaynotsoundveryscientific, but becauseimplantationisabiologicalprocess, there are lotsofthingsaboutit whichwedon'tunderstandand cannotcontrol.
